what’s on your mind?
we are prompted with this question constantly. the screen gives us a false sense of anonymity, pleading us to confide in it. in #confessions, we examine the way twitter, facebook and other forms of social media are extremely public forms of communication in which many share very personal information. with the catholic tradition of confession as our backdrop and twitter as our method of divulgence, we invite the viewer to participate and reflect on communication in our digital age. the screen inside is what we intend to profess to, but in reality we are projecting our thoughts, emotions, and opinions to an audience of real people.
